Hotel Transylvania

One of the fun things about KL is the easy access to movies, which are considerably cheaper than in the States.  Daddy took the kids to Hotel Transylvania, which appeared innocuous enough (after missing the boat on an attempt at some special Daddy-Daughter time for ParaNorman, which was too scary).  Mommy didn't mind the time to herself, either.

We frequently enjoy heading for a movie or an event after church, as the Pavilion and other downtown places are close to St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church.

Laser Tag Party

Gabi had the chance to go play laser tag for a friend's birthday party.  She thought it might be scary, but it was a lot of fun having a group of girls running through the dark passageways trying to score points.  What a fun experience, including some extra time in the arcade.

CIS WASC to Bangkok

Doug had the chance to be on a two member, one day accreditation trip to Bangkok.  It was a rewarding professional experience to work with Peter Gittins and learn a lot about the value of follow-up accreditation trips.  Better yet, the trip was just over 24 hours.

Doug's Birthday

While birthdays are fun (though less fun as they get higher in numbers), it was a bit sad to think this might be the last birthday I will get to celebrate with my mom . . . at least for quite some time.  Thanks to mandatory retirement at 65 (which comes next June), this is likely the last year that the Woodwards will get to celebrate birthdays with grandparents around.
