Pool Time

We again went in search of a swimming pool. . . and the Bouwens came through.  It was a fun Sunday afternoon by the pool, with the kids playing and getting the chance to relax, chat, read a book, and wrap up a casual weekend.

Outbac Broga

Reeve had a Grade 6 field trip to a nearby outdoor education center.  He was the one from his group who successfully made the leap of faith.  Someone had to climb up and jump out and grab the bar.  The previous four people failed, then Reeve climbed WAY up.  It was far more challenging than he thought once up (especially for those with a fear of heights!), but he went for it and WOW!  What a grab!

The kids also got to do the zip line - which was a pretty awesome highlight.  Lots of team building, a good hike in the morning, and some fun experiences for the Grade 6.  Dad even got to tag along as a chaperone!

Samuel's Pool

We had a nice gathering on a day off, enjoying some time with the Bouwens and some new friends.  It was great to be able to swim (we sure miss grandpa and grandma's pool!).  By the time Doug remembered that we had brought the camera, the swimming was done, so we managed a belated photo.

Cosmos World

After church, we met some friends for some time at Cosmos world.    It was fun to spend some time with some new friends, as well.  Tracy teaches with Heidi, and their three girls are just a year off of our kids, so it was a great chance to start some new friendships.

We had some kids who sure loved to spin. The kids also went on the roller coaster - an indoor roller coaster was a first for ours, now that we are old enough for the BIG ride.

Day at School

Increasingly, Saturdays are being spent at school when there are tournaments.  With Reeve playing soccer, Doug coaching, and lots of action taking place all around, we spent much of the day at school.  Rania had fun with face painting and playing with friends.

Apple Leadership in Bangkok

Doug had the privilege of being welcomed for an Apple Leadership Summit in Bangkok.  Accompanied by Dave and Max, he got the chance to hear some great speakers, as well as dialogue about where we're going next as a school.  Seeing Chad Bates again was another great highlight.

But the best part was a dinner on the top floor of one of Bangkok's tallest buildings just as sunset was falling.  Wow!

Birthday Boy

A certain boy had another birthday!  (...and got his wish!)

Yummy cake.  Great family.  Much to be thankful for!
