KL Wind Storm

On our return to KL (Doug came back a few days early), there was quite a wind storm, with broken limbs from the trees across the street - and our little pot blown over.

We got the creekside video from the great trip.  Even though few can view the video, this is a great placeholder from some amazing memories!

Return to Toledo

While waiting for our red eye from Portland to Detroit, Reeve tried out the panorama function on the iPhone.  Classic PDX waiting area photo. 

Lunch in Bend

On the way back to Newberg, we stopped at the beautiful waterfront mall in Bend and had a delicious dinner at Red Robin.  Fun watching all the tubes (and tubers) going down the river.  We also had a stop at REI so that Mark and Marta could get the gear they needed for backpacking.

Goodbye SunRiver

We departed SunRiver, the puzzle not quite finished.  After doing some cleaning and getting everything ready, we had the chance for an all family photo before heading back to Newberg.

Climbing South Sister

What an amazing (and long) day, as we went up the mountain with the kids.  It was a perfect day, with lots of sunshine and big, huge, great views.  Despite poor shoes for the kids, we had a long day and were plenty sore after getting back from a great trip up the mountain. Here are some of the many pictures we took.

Woodward Soccer Game

We made our way over to the park and found a huge grassy area for our epic soccer match.  There were some great heroics, amazing stops by Gabi (playing as goalkeeper), Doug's watch (unfortunately) broke on a block of Nzol's shot.  Lots of fun and a great game, especially now that we have some talented Woodward kids on the field.

SHARC Water Park

With our SunRiver rental, we had passes to the SHARC center, and enjoyed getting a day at the water park.  It was certainly plenty cool when you got out of the water, with a brisk wind.  We had some fun moves on the water slides, enjoyed the lazy river, and even a chance at some reading.

A Beautiful Return Drive

On the way back to SunRiver, we had such beautiful views across Central Oregon.  We also saw a rainbow and the Pokeman Go phenomenon was there when we stopped at A&W for dinner.  We also had some great audio books in various cars for the journey.  Wednesday Wars sequel with Mark and the boys. Cinder for the girls' car.

Whitewater Rafting Deschutes River

After finishing the rafting, we found that my underwater, in the moment camera photos were not quite the quality of the rafting company with their cameras perched from above at the best spots.  We also found that purchasing the pictures was not cheap. . .but from $10 - $25 for a few pictures to $50 for all of them, we decided just to get all the pictures from both our boats, which means we have LOTS of great pictures from that day on the river.  Here are just a few.
